Phosphoric acid 37%. Etching of enamel & dentin produces microscopic pits. which aid in the mechanical retention of restoration materials. Viscous enough to prevent migration on a vertical surface. Low enough viscosity to penetrate the smallest fissures. Each syringe contains enough etchant for 15-40 applications. 15 seconds etch time. 1.2cc syringe
